I am so sorry for my delayed reply to your last note! I am afraid I've been rather busy lately, as we've been sewing maid uniforms and rearranging the house, so I'm at the end of my nerves most of the time, and then up comes Louisa (Mrs. Hawkins) asking for the dinner plan! At those times I almost let out a little yelp of despair because I feel as though there cannot ever be anyone as busy as me. I'm hoping to find room for a sewing and painting room sometime, because it would do us all good to immerse ourselves in culture once again, rather than allowing ourselves to be buried in the mundane tasks of everyday life.
I'm so glad to hear that Rebecca enjoyed Proper School! I had fun teaching it again, I hope that Sonja and the others do their homework soon, because then we can have it again.
I am so happy that Mrs. Larson's new baby is healthy and strong! He seems like a very happy baby, with a cheerful outlook like his father. Oh what lucky sisters Kirsten, Anna and Britta are now!
Do write back,
Sincerely, Samantha E. Parkington
