Form a large potato shape out of the red clay.
Hollow out the end of the shape with your thumb and forefinger.
On the other end of the sausage, flatten the end against the table and then poke holes in it with the toothpick.
Pinch in the sides of the other end so that it looks wavy.
Bake the sausages at 215 degrees for 15 minutes on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Remove and let cool before using.
