Latest Merriman Updates

The last few days have been quite trying ones for the usually peace Merriman family. William has finally rebeled against his mother's wishes and is determined to become "cool" like his cousin Paul Windmill. His mother was so angry with him that she threatened him with not being able to go to the festival, locked him in his room, and refused to speak with him until he'd decided to stop his foolishness and begin his oxford preparation studies again like a good boy.
Then Felicity went riding with her friend Kirsten in the outskirts of the Whistling Creek campground and did not return for three days. Finally, Mr. Merriman had to organize a search party, and Anders, Andres, Juan, Antonio, Paul, William, and Edward set out to search for the two missing girls. They came back later that evening, coughing and soaking wet, carrying Felicity who had fallen off of her horse and hurt her leg. After Mr. Merriman had given her sufficient medicine and treatment, the family retired after an exhausting few days.

Today the Merriman family packed their things and began their journey to the Pleasantville Transportation. Their plane leaves at 8:00 PM this evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Merriman will be taking a vacation in Seaside while their daughters are at Camp Turtle Cove, and they will all take a plane back together when the vacation is over.
Mrs. Merriman finally cleaned the lower floor of her house; the living room, dining room and kitchen. In the picture above she is standing in her kitchen, and also wearing the latest fashion in hairstyles from France. (Notice that her bangs were no longer in style, so she has artfully gotten rid of them!)

Nancy is still sick, rolling around on the coach, watching movies, eating applesauce, and moaning.
Yesterday, Rebecca Parkington came to call on Mrs. Merriman. The two spent a great deal of time discussing the fashions for the year, starting with the most elegant of all the dress designs in pink for Spring. Rachel, who has been eagerly awaiting the release of the information about the Spring colors, stopped short right outside the door to the kitchen. Pressing her ear to the crack between the door and the floor, she listened carefully, remembering everything she heard so she could later report everything to her friends.
Her mother later placed the fashion dolls and fabric samples on her dresser upstairs. Rachel, very curious to see as well as hear about the new fashions, tiptoed into the room (Mr. Merriman was sleeping), and finally ended up on top of the dresser. However, Mr. Merriman woke up, and she immediately flipped over the back of the dresser into the bathroom, where she accidentally fell in the bathtub.
"Oh dear, what was that noise? Rachel, are you alright?", said Mr. Merriman, sitting up and looking around.
"Oh I'm fine daddy! I just dropped my toothbrush!" Rachel said, dripping wet.
